The buttons adorning the sleeves and pants symbolize beaten-flat bullets, repurposed for a more positive purpose, reflecting the wisdom from The Book of Isaiah: "They shall beat their swords into pruning hooks; nations shall not lift up the sword against nation, neither shall they learn war no more."
